Counselor/Therapist

A Counselor or Therapist is a licensed mental health professional who helps individuals, couples, and families manage emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. They use evidence-based therapeutic techniques—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), talk therapy, and mindfulness—to support clients dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Counselors create a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, set goals, and develop coping strategies. They may work in private practices, schools, hospitals, or community agencies. Strong communication skills, empathy, and ethical integrity are essential in guiding clients toward improved mental well-being.
